I fired up Downhill Jam last night and took a look at the artwork editor which I'd never bothered with back in the day.  I might play around with it for another drawing option.  I've already linked my legacy account, but when doing art on DHJ it appears to upload and download to the DHJ site, not this one.  If I did a piece in DJH and wanted to put it in a contest for PG, I'd just link to the DHJ art piece, correct?

Also, is there a way to transfer art between the two games, I.E. download some of my Proving Ground into DHJ, or vice versa?

If there were a contest where you'd be allowed to enter a piece of art made with the THDJ artwork editor, then you could just post the image of the piece in the thread. You'd be find. But there's no way to get any THDJ art into your THPG game or profile, or vice versa.

The only other way is to just redraw the picture.

You can enter it in a contest but there is no way of transferring the artwork. You can try redrawing it pixel by pixel.

Umm...mmkay.  I think I'll be sticking with the Proving Ground editor.  The DownHill Jam one seems mighty glitchy.  It keeps changing tools on me, drawing stuff that I didn't add to the picture, making long lines when I try to do a dot, and I've had to recalibrate the touch screen several times already.  I'm going to try and finish one picture, but it is a challenge.

Ok, here's my first DHJ piece before I understood how to work with the glitchy editor.  This is actually how a lot of my pictures start out, very simple line drawings with crude, basic shapes.  Then I go in and polish them up.  The fact that every time I hit the zoom new "artifacts" would appear in the picture where I didn't try to draw them caused me to leave this one in a raw state.

After reading through some of Flintsk8er's advice on the closed DHJ forums, I found out that using the zoom tool was a guaranteed way to cause the editor to start acting glitchy and throw off the touch screen calibration.  So, this was my second piece, in which I refrained from using zoom.  Since doing fine detail work without the zoom tool would be much more difficult, I opted to go for a more simple action piece.  I'm actually fairly pleased with how this one turned out.

Yea, I like how the second one turned out.
