Thats right! But... it's really only a price drop for the 80 gig. It will be going down to 400 bucks. The original price was 450 I think.
Now this is a good and a bad thing, for me that is. I didn't exactly want to pay 400 bucks for a game console to begin with. Now that I'd be getting an 80 gig one for the same price is sort of cool, but I would have wanted the 40 gig to have a price drop. I don't care for 80 gigs of space... at all. But I'm assuming that the 40 gig is going to be discontinued, just like the 20 gig.
Oh, and its assumed that the 80 gig will lose all backwards compatability. Goody... now I can't cash in my PS2. The 80 gig price drop will happen in September.
