What is this game rated?

THPG: FC502639672353<!--END: TOP NAV--><!--END: HEADER CONTENT--><!--START: LOG-IN BOX-->

24122 Congratulations DupELcup for winning my Yoshi art contest. This picture is very artistic

Probably T. If not then it'l get an M (for violence). Hmm... Yea most likely T.

Itl def get T for Violence and suggestive themes.

Go to my youtube and you'll be my bestest friend- www.youtube.com/someonels3

Heres what we got so far of the rating.

Mild Language

Partial Nudity (saw that one coming, half of that is Ivy!)

Sexual Themes

Violence (in a fighting game? absurd!)

It all boils down to a T rating.

Good thing I could buy it even if it were M rated.

Yoda = 360

Darth Vader = PS3

The should add sora from kingdom hearts shoudn't they?

<u>Freind Code:2277-5044-4319</u>

Well, Sora has a kind of odd shape to him. His body is stylized while the other Soul Calibur characters are all pretty much "normal" proportions. But who knows, maybe he'll come in. There are already anime characters and stuff, why not throw in a popular character.

Now what I'd like is a Timesplitters character. But thats not gonna happen! Ohhhh or Megaman! Talk about cheap...

They added another Star Wars Character, which means two SW characters per version, 3 overall.

Well, I read somewhere that you'll be able to download Darth Vader (or Yoda, etc) later on. So according to that, there would be 3 Star Wars character per system.

Also a little bit of news, you can customize your characters (like in the Tekken games). So other than your own custom create-a-soul character, you can edit the main characters. Clothes can also be purchased on the online stores (some also can be downloaded for free).

Looks like we have screens of characters made with the Create a Soul mode. Looks like you can edit body types this time around.

There is a rumor around that says Kratos from the god of war series will be in the PS3 version.

Thats pretty cool, he'd fit almost perfectly into the setting. Better than a Star Wars character heh.

I just had to come back to the forum, just to brag.

XPI, be jealous- I get a free copy of SCIV, before the street date!

I'm partners with this marketing site that works for Namco Bandai and they've contacted me before with Dynasty Warriors: Gundam, Contra 4, and Time Crisis 4, where they agree to send me free copies of each game around/before the release date, and in return I just have to spread word about the game and then review it on one of my blogs!

Score.

Here's the email...

"Hey Phampok,

I'm working with Namco Bandai on the release of Soulcalibur IV and as the first Soulcalibur to hit the next-gen systems, we created an interactive media player/widget featuring the latest info, images and videos (with characters like Darth Vader and Yoda thrown into the mix). This promises to be something you'll want to share!

Check it out here www.rocketxl.com/sc4

If you're also interested in reviewing a copy of the game, please email me back and I'll add your name to our list. Thanks for taking the time to check out the media player and let me know what you think.

Take Care,

Oh, and as a favor, just check out that link in the email, it has videos/screens.

I don't even know if I'll be getting on the street date, man. I don't even think I'll have a PS3 by then heheh. That really is awesome, though. I'm not jealous about you gettings Souls, early... but there is one thing I am quite jealous of. Being partners with Rocket XL sounds great!

Cool! They are using the 2D artwork!

Awesome!

And http://www.soularchive.jp/SC4/character/index.html shows the main bad guy. In 2d form.

I got the game last night its pretty fun.

The character customization is awesome, but the story mode is ver very short ony 5 levels per character.

Gee, that is pretty short. I'd say Soul Cal 3 did it best with the Tales of Souls mode then.

What about any other single-player modes, other than an arcade mode? Anything else worth mentioning?

HUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I posted here! Anyway...

The Tower of Lost Souls mode is a nice addition. You fight people with different skill sets (attributes and things like that). There are 60 levels of fighting goodness. Every level also has an unlockable (armor, hat, etc) that you can get by completing a "mission." You are hinted about what the mission actually is, for example, "do not part with your vitality" meant to get a Perfect. That was an easy one, though.

Other than the Tower there is arcade (and an online leaderboard of scores, which is nice) and the regular story. 5 levels each character is kinda minimal, but atleast there is more than one character your fighting per level (cept for 2 of them). There is also a hard mode.

Not to mention the acheivements. I'm not sure if the PS3 game has them, but the 360 has 50. Which of course adds to the replay value, for most people.
